Join graphic designer Lina Grumm for a one day workshop for emerging designers, artists, curators, and artsworkers. This session will begin with an introduction to what Lina calls “shy design”, an attentive and integrative approach to visual communication that rejects domination and manipulation. In the second part of the workshop participants will look at the current exhibition as a starting point to critically analyse calendars and scores as examples of conventional organisational structures.

This session requires an expression of interest, there are no drop ins.
This event will be held in the Kit, which can be accessed by the main gallery entrance or alternatively by our car park on 8 East St for assisted access.
This location is accessible with assistance.
Wear comfortable clothing.
Light refreshments will be provided but please bring lunch.
BIOGRAPHY
Lina Grumm works in graphic design and is co-founder of HIT, Berlin together with Annette Lux (hit-studio.co.uk). In dialogue with artists, exhibition makers, and authors, she develops visual communication of artistic concepts, transforming abstract ideas into books, exhibitions, posters, and digital formats. She has collaborated with institutions such as the TATE, ICA London, Kunsthalle Bern, Midway Contemporary Minneapolis, and Haus am Waldsee.
